We believe that knowledge is the key to unlocking human potential. Our mission is to provide access to quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all, irrespective of their socio-economic background. We work to foster a love for learning, equip individuals with essential skills, and support them in realizing their dreams.
Education is a right and need of every child. Without Education, in today’s world children are doomed to be socially and developmentally marginalized and will have no option but to walk on their parent’s footsteps. We believe that education is the only way to break the cycle of poverty so we at Umeed a ray of hope start various programs that are: Sarvsampan: This program is started to improve the condition of Anganvadis and government schools. Under this program Umeed a ray of hope distribute essential school supplies like bags, mats, charts, stationeries etc. at different Anganvadi centers and government schools. Till now we have covered all the Anganvadi centers in local area i.e. Laxman Vihar, Bhimgarh Kheri , Surat Nagar etc. Under this program we also started campaign which also includes community participation. the campaign is as follows: TAMOHARA “पपपपपप पपप पपपप पप पप पपप, पपपपपप पप पपपपप पप पपप…!” true to the statement Umeed a ray of hope has started the campaign Tamohara which means remover of ignorance and books do the same. In this campaign we encourage people to donate their old books which in turn we give to those who are in need. Under this campaign we also set up different vocational studies centers for women who want to come forward and do something herself. In these centers we teach them different courses like beautician, tailoring and stitching, English speaking, basic computer and internet etc.

The above programs are initiated by the NGO for the underprivileged children in slums, chawls and on footpaths because these children are deprived of education due to family 16 pressure and lack of money. Even their families themselves make them drop out of schools and force them in child labor. Hence various awareness programs become necessary in these situations. Another reason for dropping out is lack of commodities and nutrition so we distribute school accessories to the needy under various projects and programs.
Hear from our generous donors who believe in our mission and support UMEED – A Ray of Hope in creating meaningful change and brighter futures for communities in need.
